The new kid on the block is awaited by the gaming world with bated breath. Atomicrops is waiting in the wings, to strike farming simulator as well as action RPG gamers like a thunderbolt.
Storyline
This is a Game based on a post-apocalyptic world scenario. The existing world is largely mutant, but the Farmer (read, the Player) is not. At first, he tries to eke out a living in a desperate mutant Planet, fighting to occupy the last few genuine farmlands existing, plant mutant crops, fight off equally desperate neighbors and frightening attacking monster mutants from the New World. He gradually rises in power and affluence. He even marries townsfolk, and procreates the next generation. This is an epic storyline of a future that now seems may happen any day (God forbid). The Farmer is invited to fight through all adversaries in a strange new World, grow mutant ultra-GMO crops, and reap a bountiful harvest, to not only sustain humanity, but make a massive profit! By day, he fights off hunger, by hunting and foraging for seeds and loot in the treacherous Biomes, and scavenging the wastelands. By night he fights off strange mutant pests and frightful new world organisms and monsters to save his farms. Surely, he rises to wealth and power, and commences now to occupy his unfriendly neighbors’ farms. The remains of his foes make good fertilizer, so nothing is wasted here. Dodging bullets (and giving back as good as he gets) the Farmer tills his land, planting seeds, and waters his crops. He is as much Fighter as he is Farmer, in the New World mode. His hard work pays off, and how! And not just work. There is love in the air, as the now affluent Farmer sets out to woo the most beautiful (non-mutant) girl from the nearby town, marry her in a touching ceremony, settle down to a happy married life with children, and later, grandchildren, all the while acquiring more farmland, and becoming RICH.

The Game was designed by Danny Wynne, and Published by Raw Fury. The Developers are Danny Wynne, Toby Dixon, Jonas Turner and Bird Bath Games. The Platforms are Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One. Its initial release date was 2019. With the Raw Fury server, members can talk with fellow fans and developers, access new information before others, and participate in game gifts and giveaways.
Gameplaying
This is a roguelite all-action farming simulator game based on the future. Gameplay looks deceptively simple, but each step needs to be carefully thought out. Even planting crops must be to a pattern. For example, four carrots planted in a large square block, if fertilized and watered sufficiently, can turn into a mega giant carrot, which will fetch huge cash revenue.
Endgame
The planned release date in September, 2020, now seems a bit unsure, due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, but September is still some months away, so let’s hope for the best. But, looking at the previews, Atomicrops is here to stay, and conquer.
